Grocery Store Safety eLearning
This scenario-based eLearning concept project is designed for a grocery store called Some Food Market, and highlights my usage of Articulate Storyline. Throughout the course, the learner engages in a series of real-life, low-risk scenarios, that lead to discovering what actions are safe for employees and customers to experience.
Evaluate
Evaluate how the success of the project will be measured
First, I reached out to key stakeholders to host a kickoff meeting. By the end of this meeting, we identified what business measure will improve when the project is done, and determined that the solution to this problem is solvable using an interactive eLearning course. Stakeholders wanted to reduce injuries on the grocery store floor by improving the knowledge and observable behaviors of employees using safety tools on the job.

Analyze
Analyze the performance problem
Next I worked with a subject-matter expert to develop an action map that would help identify the observable behaviors employees needed to utilize the safety tools correctly. After collaborating with the SME, we decided on the top three safety tools that grocery store employees need to utilize safely to prevent injuries.

Design
Design at a high level
Next I designed a storyboard outline that included the consequences of not performing the job task safely and correctly. Based on this outline, I drafted a written storyboard of the interactive eLearning including the programming notes for each slide. I also designed visual mockups of the slide layouts. I sought multiple rounds of feedback before moving on to the development phase.

Develop
Develop in batches
After getting approval on my written storyboard and visual mockups, I was ready to develop a prototype to show off the functionality and user experience for just scenario one. Once the subject matter experts and key stakeholders were able to interact with the course, they gave their final stamp of approval to finish the project.

Implement
Implement feedback into final product
Finally, I translated the prototype based on stakeholder feedback into a final product. Using this version of the ADDIE model was more effective for meeting the needs of the client and the end users simultaneously.
